Profile

Iliana Lazarova is an ESG Analyst at Trucost. Previously, she was an Insurance Fellow at Growald Family Fund. She graduated with an MEM from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2016. At Yale she focused on renewable energy and environmental entrepreneurship. She is interested in the potential of entrepreneurs to solve global environmental and social challenges such as energy access and water shortages.

Before coming to Yale, she was working on education activities promoting social participation. She was a teacher in a middle school working with underprivileged students while at the same time she served as the Bulgarian Youth Delegate to the United Nations. In 2013-2014, Iliana was a project manager for the crowdfunding platform Greenhero.com that promotes citizen participation in support of low-carbon projects. She also gained first- hand experience on energy management and operations efficiency issues in the utility company Alcatel Lucent.  In her leisure time she enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. Iliana holds a B.A. in International Economic Relations and her academic experience include national and international academic institutions such as Barnard College, Columbia University.
