Planetary Innovators Panel: Financing Climate Solutions

Given the massive need for capital and innovation to achieve effective climate solutions, and at a time in which we see increased interest in financing them from both government and companies simultaneously, additional public-private cooperation could be promising.

This panel will look at the interaction between public and private sources of funding for climate solutions from a variety of stakeholder views– state banks, mobilizers of private investment in climate, and private equity– to illustrate the opportunities and challenges within the space.

This event is part of the Planetary Innovator Speaker Series by CBEY and Tsai CITY, which highlights innovators working to address the climate crisis through policy, technology, finance, and more.

The discussion will be moderated by Yale Professor Brad Gentry and feature the following panelists:

  • Nisha Desai, Founder and CEO of Intention
  • Bryan Garcia, President and CEO of the Connecticut Green Bank
  • Daniel Gross, Director, Climate Pledge Fund at Amazon

This webinar is only open to current members of the Yale community (students, faculty and staff).
