Tyler Norris

Tyler H. Norris is a James B. Duke Fellow and Ph.D. student at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, where his research focuses on electric power systems. He brings over a decade of energy sector experience to his research, as VP of Development at Cypress Creek Renewables, as Director at S&P Global Platts, and as Special Advisor at USDOE in the Obama administration. He serves as chair of the board of the North Carolina Clean Energy Fund. Tyler has served as an expert witness in multiple state utility commission proceedings and his writing has appeared in the New York Times, Foreign Affairs, and elsewhere. He is a recipient of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship and Forbes 30 Under 30 and received his B.A. in public policy from Stanford University.
