Svetlana Gabrilyan

Svetlana (Lana) is a Project Developer working for EDF Renewables North America. She is leading the development of utility scale solar project across several states in the Midwest. In her role, Lana manages her team to accelerate origination and deployment of renewables in a responsible and equitable way. She also handles relationships with stakeholders and governments to ensure her projects meet and exceed local, state, and federal standards of solar development. She is most passionate about engaging communities who host renewable energy projects, educating them on the benefits of solar sites, and making sure people's voices are heard when it comes to solar development practices. 

Lana received a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale School of the Environment in 2021. During her time at Yale she worked with CBEY on launching the Energy Justice course as part of Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Certificate program where she created the blueprint of the syllabus and drafted a roadmap for the course deployment. 

Lana was born and raised in Kazakhstan, she moved to the US in 2019. In her free time Lana enjoys hiking and running, cooking with friends, and exploring Minneapolis.
