Sophie Janaskie

As Carbon Strategy Manager at Commons, Sophie develops data-driven solutions that help people spend more sustainably and lower their carbon emissions.

Sophie is an expert in emissions accounting, analysis, and communication. In her role, she works with product and engineering teams to continuously improve Common's consumer carbon footprint methods, build climate action guides to reduce emissions, and curate a portfolio of offsets that users can trust.

Sophie holds a BS in Environmental Engineering and an Master of Environmental Management from Yale, as well as an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
