Roxana Grunenwald (Yale College, 2025) is a student leader motivated to amplify climate innovation and sustainable solutions. Committed to cultivating partnerships across Yale and New Haven to engage all stakeholders, she is interested in building communities to implement scalable, systems-level solutions. A connector at heart with an eye for synergy, her work mobilizes innovative thinking with creative platforms and growth opportunities.

At the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (2023 – present), Roxana spear-heads communications, outreach, and marketing campaigns. She helps manage the programming for Moving the Needle, a CBEY environmental innovation series, with the goal of creating a premier sustainable fashion hub at Yale. She believes there is magic in connecting industry experts, practitioners, entrepreneurs, researchers, and like-minded clothing-enthusiasts!

At the Yale Office of Sustainability (2022 – present), Roxana founded Yale’s first Green Certifications program for student organizations which utilizes a holistic review process to evaluate and encourage long-term sustainability compliance. She also works as the Yale Sustainability Photographer to showcase innovative climate solutions while developing brand-identity and expanding outreach efforts. Previously, she was engaged with environmental legislation research and advocacy.

She is currently working with two startups – one in sustainable fashion and one in fintech – and in what little free time exists, she enjoys visiting art museums, long evening walks, philosophy, and cinnamon tea.
