Nishara Fernando

Nishara Fernando graduated from the Master of Environmental Management program at Yale School of the Environment, specializing in business and the environment as well as Industrial Ecology and Green Chemistry. At YSE, her focus is on the intersection of sustainability strategy and industrial ecology, to explore opportunities for industrial symbiosis and sustainable manufacturing. At CBEY, she works as a Research Assistant exploring Forest Climate Investment opportunities.

Prior to attending Yale, Nishara worked as the Business Analyst of the Sustainable Business team of MAS KREEDA, an organization dedicated exclusively to manufacturing Nike activewear. In this role she liaised with the pillars of environmental and social sustainability, health & safety and compliance, supporting sustainability strategy development and deployment, project management, sustainability performance tracking and reporting.

Nishara gradated with First Class Honors from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka with a B.S. in Environmental Science. In her free time, she enjoys travel and photography.
