Nadeem Demian is a 2nd year joint-degree master's student pursuing degrees in Environmental Management and International & Development Economics. As a teaching fellow for the Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Certificate, Nadeem supports the deliver of the Clean Energy Policy course. In the summer of 2021, he interned with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development where he worked on issues related to nature-related financial disclosures, sustainable blue economy investment strategy, and research on liberalizing energy markets in Egypt. Born in Amman, Jordan and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nadeem is a graduate of Princeton University, with a B.A. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. He is interested in clean energy finance, particularly with respect to energy access in the developing world. In his spare time, Nadeem enjoys playing disc golf, eating Thai food, and discovering new running trails in New Haven.
