Maryanne Xu

Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts 2027
Maryanne studies this rare species salamander, Plethodon Shenandoah, found only in small regions of Shenandoah National Park in VA.

Maryanne Xu is a freshman from the suburbs of Chicago. Her interests lie in technology and policy-making, specifically how both avenues can work towards climate solutions.

At Yale, she is involved as treasurer of YUSDA (Yale Undergraduate Student Dairy Association) in an effort to support local farms and creameries.

Though school keeps her busy, she makes sure to stay in touch through community-oriented conservation, ecology research (w/ salamanders!) and backpacking trips.
