Mary Chen

Mary is a senior in Yale College, majoring in Political Science and Earth & Planetary Sciences with a certificate in Energy Studies. The odd combination highlights her desire for an interdisciplinary approach to climate change policy with an emphasis on racial justice and energy equity in vulnerable populations. Previously, Mary interned at the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality, where she worked with the Environmental Justice team.  Mary has also researched energy equity in the Metro-Atlanta area, the pipeline resistance movement in the North America, and oil spills in the Alaskan Arctic region.
