Lorena is a second-year student of the Master of Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment. She is an industrial engineer from Lima, Peru, and before coming to Yale, she worked for almost nine years in project management and international development. Lorena worked in international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, where she worked closely with government agencies in public investment projects in the fields of water and sanitation, solid waste management, geothermal energy, and innovation and competitiveness. She has also worked with CBEY to create content for the Clean and Equitable Energy Development (CEED) Certificate Program.

Lorena is passionate about development and channeling resources for the just and clean energy transition to implement clean energy projects, specially for the most vulnerable communities.
