John Norwood

John Norwood is the founder of TBL Ventures, a boutique management consultancy. He's a thirty year entrepreneurial business leader who guides organizations in visioning the future, connecting authentically with customers and stakeholders, finding product-market fit, and planning for growth with a sustainability mindset. John was most recently a Business Advisor in Goldman Sach's 10K Small Business Program. In 2018, John was elected Polk Co. Soil & Water Commissioner where he advised on regenerative agriculture improvements, and visioned Iowa's "Batch and Build" program for edge of field practices now being scaled across Iowa. In 2022, John was the Democratic nominee for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and ran a campaign based on "Building Iowa to Last." John has an MEM from the Yale School of the Environment and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
