Isobel

Isobel is a Master of Environmental Management graduate focused on climate action, circularity, the bioeconomy, and entrepreneurship and innovation. She is passionate about leveraging intersecting systems to tackle environmental challenges.

Her recent sustainability experience includes consulting for the World Bank on Industrial Symbiosis and Eco-Industrial Parks, conducting evaluations on the environmental impacts of converting trash into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and being a member of the Hult Prize-winning team, Banofi Leather.

Isobel is a New Zealand Fulbright Scholar and holds a Bachelor of Science Advanced - Global Challenges, from Monash University, in Melbourne, Australia, with a major in chemistry.

Prior to Yale, Isobel worked at the nexus of science and business. She was Operations Manager at a Deep Tech startup facility and VC and evaluated commercialization potential at an agricultural research institute.

She always down for an exciting challenge, which has taken her from collecting roadkill hair in the backroads of Tasmania, to tackling a huge trash clean-up alongside hundreds of volunteers, the military, and Department of Conservation after a landfill flood on New Zealand's remote west coast.

In her spare time she loves rock climbing, baking elaborate cakes, and hiking to remote spots.
