Hardik Pokhrel

Hardik Pokhrel serves as Solar and Storage Associate for Sol Customer Solutions (part of Sol Systems). He is responsible for leading and prioritizing collaboration around preliminary system design, financial modeling of potential solar and storage opportunities while also supporting the project development team to secure new projects.

Previously, Hardik was working in Nepal with WindPower Nepal working on techno-commercial feasibility studies, project development and energy transition strategies. He was consultant for Sky Power Global & Chaudhary Group on their 200 MW utility scale solar project in Nepal as well as Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (Government of Nepal) and UNDP on their energy access projects. He began his renewable energy career with cKinetics consulting, a sustainability advisory firm in New Delhi focusing on energy access through renewable energy technologies, mini-grid business model archetypes and energy policy assessment.

Hardik graduated from Yale School of Environment (YSE) in 2021 with a Masters of Environment Management (MEM) specializing in Energy and Environment, where he was Environment Defense Fund’s Climate Corps fellow for City of Orlando. As a EDF fellow, he supported City of Orlando in the development of their expanded 2030 clean energy roadmap, along with providing enhanced strategy on resilience, emission tracking and resource efficiency. At Yale, he worked as teaching fellow for the certificate course, Financing and Deploying Clean Energy at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. He also holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from National Institute of Technology Bhopal, India.
