Asa Watten

Asa Watten

Asa Watten is an energy and environmental economist and post-doc at The Yale School of the Environment. His work focuses on technology innovation, adoption, and policy interactions. 

Before coming to Yale, Dr. Watten worked at the Environmental Protection Agency on light-duty vehicles and transportation-related environmental justice questions. Before that, he ran a small biofuel company outside of Pittsburgh.

He earned a Ph.D. from Michigan State University where he studied environmental economics, a Masters in Public Policy from The University of Chicago, and a B.S. in Political Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
