Agata Smeets

Agata Smeets is a Director in the Sourcing Strategy group at Gap Inc.’s Hong Kong headquarters where she is responsible for setting environmental sustainability strategy for the company’s sourcing organization. She works with numerous internal and external stakeholders to advance the company’s water and climate initiatives, including reducing water and greenhouse gas consumption across the value chain, shift to a sustainable fiber portfolio, and drive transparency into Gap Inc.’s supply chain. Formerly, Agata was part of Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice focusing on sustainable supply chains. She also helped found the Sustainability Forum research effort at the Washington D.C.-based Corporate Executive Board, which brought together 800 cross-functional executives with an interest in sustainability. She is a graduate of Yale University and Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell.
