Coalition for Green Capital
OPEN TO RETURNING YALE GRADUATE/PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL AND RETURNING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
About the Coalition for Green Capital:
The Coalition for Green Capital (CGC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the acceleration of the clean energy economy to reduce emissions and improve the quality of life for all Americans. By leveraging both public and private partnerships and the power of responsive financing, our network works to remove barriers to clean technology and increase energy abundance by, for, and with communities.
Additionally, CGC administers the American Green Bank Consortium. The Consortium is a membership organization for green banks, capital providers, developers, and other clean energy supporters to work together to expand and accelerate innovative clean energy investments across the United States.
The opportunity:
The Developing Solar for All in North and South Dakota for Under-Served and Tribal Communities project supports accelerating solar projects for single-family homes, multi-family homes, community facilities, and associated improvements necessary to develop distributed energy resources. The project is anticipated to be funded through the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, a program of the Inflation Reduction Act.
In this project, CGC will administer the programs on behalf of both states and will leverage the relationship within the American Green Bank Consortium to implement best practices for the Solar for All program nationally. The program will provide program and financial support to households, non-profits, and government entities to install rooftop solar and make associated improvements.
The intern will report to the Director of Policy and Network, Nenha Young

This project will be fully remote with the potential for a visit to the host organization (travel and accommodation costs covered).
