Thuy Phung
Thuy Phung graduated from Yale with a Master of Environmental Management in 2018 and is currently working as an Associate at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), a global nonprofit organization that works with businesses to build a just and sustainable world. While at Yale, Thuy focused on private sector solutions to address climate change, in particular through corporate sustainability, clean energy and sustainable finance. Thuy was a coordinator of the Internal Carbon Pricing: Practical Experiences from the Private Sector webinar series at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. She was also an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps fellow at Abbott Laboratories, where she conducted an assessment of Abbott’s global energy profile and provided recommendations for setting 2030 GHG reduction targets. Prior to Yale, Thuy worked as a junior policy advisor for the USAID Lowering Emissions in Asia's Forests (LEAF) program in Thailand, and as a climate change analyst at ICF International in Washington DC. Thuy is originally from Hanoi, Vietnam and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Environmental Policy from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA.
