Kate Gehrke

Kate Gehrke is a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) candidate at the Yale School of the Environment specializing in People, Equity, and the Environment.

She recently graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a dual Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Environmental Sustainability. Kate’s most current position is at the World Business Council of Sustainable Development (WBCSD) as the Agriculture and Food Intern on the Healthy and Sustainable Diets team. She is currently a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative Fellow, where she does food access research and creates GIS food equity maps; she also works as a grant writer with Filha do Sol, uplifting frontline women's leadership on ecosystems regeneration and climate justice.

Committed to closing the gender gap in agriculture, she is dedicated to championing women's empowerment and fostering food security across the globe.
