Jamie Yates

Jamie is a recent graduate of Yale School of the Environment’s Master of Environmental Management degree where she focused on the development of the modern electric grid and policies to center environmental and energy justice within the renewable energy transition. 

Born and raised in California, she came to YSE interested in renewable energy and how to integrate emerging technologies at various scales into the 21st century grid. Prior to YSE, she worked in product development as an Integration Engineer and helped lead the Product Engineering team to market at an early stage startup focused on novel technology, software, and life sciences tools in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Jamie graduated cum laude from University of California Davis with a B.S in Environmental Science focused on environmental microbiology and will always be a California girl at heart. She enjoys rock climbing, running slowly, baking for friends, and a cold beer in the sun in her free time.
