Avery Naperala

Avery graduated from the Yale School of Public Health (MPH). Avery has interests in how the natural environment affects health, increasing equity in how the benefits of nature on health are distributed throughout communities, and documenting persisting areas of environmental injustice. She is currently working with Fair Haven Community Health Care to assist clinicians prescribing time in nature, lead youth nature walks, and support their Nature and Health initiatives.

Prior to attending Yale, Avery graduated from Christopher Newport University, where she studied Environmental Biology, Leadership Studies, and Business Administration. She worked with local organizations to increase edible landscaping and urban agriculture spaces in the community, and in her free time, she still enjoys finding local garden spaces and scenic hikes to spend time outdoors.
