Managing the World's Largest Land Donation: A Conversation with Kris Tompkins

Over the past quarter century, Tompkins Conservation has worked tirelessly to create national parks, conserve biodiversity, restore degraded lands, reintroduce missing species, and encourage environmental activism.  These goals are accomplished in collaboration with an extraordinary team of conservationists they have assembled and mentored, including fellow philanthropists, governments, and other nongovernmental organizations.

With each new national park established, every acre secured, and imperiled species helped to recover, the Tompkins Conservation team is helping to build a legacy of wild beauty and ecological health.

In her talk entitled "Managing the World's Largest Land Donation," Kris Tompkins will address why she believes national parks are so important to biodiversity, people and the planet.  She’ll also discuss her organization's goal of donating three national parks ([[{"fid":"2232","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default"},"type":"media","link_text":"The Iberá Wetlands","attributes":{"class":"file media-element file-default"}}]][[{"fid":"2233","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default"},"type":"media","link_text":"Patagonia Park","attributes":{"class":"file media-element file-default"}}]][[{"fid":"2235","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default"},"type":"media","link_text":"Pumalín Park","attributes":{"class":"file media-element file-default"}}]]) to the Chilean Federal government and why National Parks are the best choice for conserved land in Patagonia.
