Rosemary  Ripley

Rosemary Ripley is Managing Director and control shareholder of NGEN.  NGEN is a growth equity investment firm investing in innovative companies in healthy living, defined as more sustainable systems utilizing cleaner resources and shifting health and wellness from treatment to prevention.  Rosemary leads the firm’s focus on consumer companies with differentiated products and services in food and beverage, and personal and household care.  She has been on numerous private company boards for NGEN portfolio companies.  She also serves on the Supervisory Board of Heineken, N.V. and is CEO of Better World Acquisition Corporation.

Rosemary has worked in consumer package goods, branding and technology as well as in strategic planning, acquisitions and public and private market transactions.  Responsible for Corporate Business Development worldwide at Altria Group (previously Philip Morris Companies) from 1990-2005, her primary role was to help accelerate growth at Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing Company through expansionary growth plans and transformative acquisitions.  Among the transformative transactions she led were the acquisition of Nabisco Foods, the initial public offering of Kraft Nabisco and the merger of Miller Brewing Company with South African Breweries.  Prior to joining Philip Morris, she ran the Retail and Consumer Group in Investment Banking at two different investment banks.

Rosemary co-founded Circle Financial Group, a multi-family investment advisory firm, specializing in the investment needs of women, which has been re-branded Circle Wealth Management.  She sits on the Advisory Board of the Yale Center for Business and the Environment and chairs the Board of the Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy.  She also co-founded the Women and Foreign Policy Program at the Council of Foreign Relations. Rosemary received both her BA, cum laude, and MBA at Yale University.  In addition to working with creative entrepreneurs, Rosemary is passionate about biodiversity and environmental education.
