Moses Kulaba, East Africa Regional Manager at Natural Resource Governance Institute

Moses Kulaba

In his application, Moses Kulaba discussed the impact of climate change on the Global South and the frustratingly slow transition to renewables in places like Uganda and Tanzania.

As the East Africa Regional Manager for Kenya’s Natural Resources Governance Institute, Moses sees himself as an advocate for driving good driving good decision-making and risk mitigation work in East Africa. Moses established and now coordinates a platform for multi-stakeholder engagement in both Tanzania and Uganda, where members share resources on climate change risks, learn from one another, make suggestions and advocate for policy and practices in East Africa.

Moses is looking forward to learning more about key policy drivers and innovative financing mechanisms that could support increased capacity and a swift clean energy transition in East Africa. Moses Kulaba is a Ugandan and Tanzanian dual-citizen living in Kenya. When his father passed away, Moses, as the eldest son, began contributing to his family to support his hard-working mother and four siblings. He is incredibly grateful for his continued ability to work and seek further education to contribute to his family’s well-being and the clean energy transition in East Africa.
