What brought you to Yale?

At this juncture in my career, I knew that it was the right time for me to invest in a long-term career asset rather than something that could show a more immediate return.

How have you impacted sustainable practices in your career?

I helped clients in the defense industry understand the magnitude of their energy usage through the power of data analytics. I also advised them on energy saving opportunities for the future.

What challenges do you see for sustainability in your industry?

Energy conservation will become more widely mandated throughout the federal government space. However, the industry stakeholders may not be ready for it.

Tell us one thing about yourself that might surprise your classmates.

I served onboard aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln when the former president George W. Bush delivered the “Mission Accomplished” speech. I was invited to have dinner with him after the speech.
