What brought you to Yale?

I am very interested the opportunities presented by sustainable practices to the airline industry and would like to further develop my leadership and analytical skillset.

How have you impacted sustainable practices in your career?

To date I have probably made matters worse.

What challenges do you see for sustainability in your industry?

The airline industry is impacted by a number of challenges in the near future including dependence on fossil fuels and heavy reliance on rare earth elements utilized in the metallurgy comprising numerous airframe and engine component.

Tell us one thing about yourself that might surprise your classmates.

On the day I assumed my position of President of go! Airlines in Hawaii, the local paper the Honolulu Star Advertiser was nice enough to run an article titled "go! Named Most Chronically Late Airline in America" next to a photo of me and a two sentence afterthought that I had been appointed to turn things around.

Current Position

Firm: Envoy Air Inc., an American Airlines Group Compapy
Position: V.P. Legal | Labor | Employment
Duration: 1.5 years
Responsibility: Oversee all legal matters with particular focus on Labor (union) and Employment (non union) issues for Envoy's 15,000 employees. Heavy involvement with air operations covering approximately 160 regional jet aircraft
