Thuy Phung
Thuy Phung is a Senior Manager, Climate Metrics & Governance at PepsiCo. She serves as a Greenhouse Gas Accounting subject matter expert at PepsiCo and is responsible for contributing to external standard setting on GHG accounting and providing guidance for internal stakeholders and value chain partners to take impactful climate actions. Prior to this role, Thuy coordinated the development of PepsiCo's global Scope 3 roadmap towards 2030 climate goals including agriculture, packaging, third-party transportation, and third-party manufacturing.
Thuy has over 14 years of experience in climate mitigation and adaptation. Before joining PepsiCo, she was at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility) where she worked with Fortune 1000 companies to set ambitious climate targets and strategy and managed cross-company collaborations to create industry and systems change, including Transform to Net Zero, Sustainable Air Freight Alliance, and Clean Cargo. Prior to that, she worked for a USAID program to reduce emissions from the agriculture, forestry and land use sectors in Southeast Asia, and for ICF, an environmental consulting firm, where she worked on projects advising governments on climate change risks, resilience, and greenhouse gas emissions inventory.
Thuy holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Environmental Policy from Williams College and a Master’s in Environmental Management from Yale University.
