Sundara Bhandaram is currently pursuing her Masters in Environmental Management (MEM) at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, specializing in business and industrial ecology. Her main interests are sustainable packaging and the circular economy. She is working on the Pathways in Corporate Sustainability initiative at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment.
This summer, Sundara will be the Corporate Sustainability Research and Analysis intern at Ceres, a sustainability nonprofit organization working with influential investors and companies to build leadership and drive solutions throughout the economy.
Before attending Yale, she spent her career working on environmental policy issues at the American Forest & Paper Association. She worked on environmental issues such as forest certification, biomass, water stewardship, and the industry's sustainability initiative: Better Practices, Better Planet 2020.
Sundara is from Southern California, and holds a BS in Earth System Science from the University of California, Irvine.
