Sophie is a second year joint degree student at the Yale School of Management and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where her studies have focused on renewable energy and economic development. At Yale, she has really enjoyed getting involved in projects both near and far - whether building out a budgeting and resource tool for New Haven's Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services through SOM's Social Consulting Club or working with a social enterprise in Indonesia on ocean plastics issues.
Over the summer in 2018, Sophie worked as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow at BYD's Coach and Bus manufacturing facility where she identified energy efficiency opportunities in production and conducted a financial assessment for rooftop solar at the plant. Prior to Yale, Sophie worked as a research analyst at an environmental consulting firm in Boston where her work ranged from natural resource damage assessment cases to system dynamics modeling.
Sophie has a B.A. with High Honors from Princeton University, where she majored in Classics with a certificate in Environmental Studies. In her free time she enjoys backpacking, learning new languages, and finding dogs to befriend.
