Santiago is an MBA/MEM candidate with passion for helping governments, businesses, and investors advance initiatives that combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and global poverty. Prior to Yale, he worked in Washington, DC for Clima Capital Partners and Dynamic Planet, where he designed sustainable finance programs for banks in emerging markets and worked to scale public and private investment in marine protected areas around the world.  He is a leader of the Business and Environment Club at Yale SOM, where he helped organize the school’s inaugural Business and Environment Conference in 2025, and is an active member of the Energy and Consulting Clubs. At YSE, he will deepen his expertise around business strategy during the clean energy transition, innovative financial mechanisms for nature-based solutions, forestry, and the frontiers of climate science.

Santiago holds a B.A. in Environmental Economics from Middlebury College. He is an avid runner, hiker, and skier, with backcountry experience from the Canadian Rockies to Patagonia.
