Robert is a Senior Sustainability Strategy Lead & Subject Matter Expert at Google. He is focused on advancing Google’s Circular Economy mission to maximize the reuse of finite resources across the company’s operations, products, and supply chains - and enable others to do the same.  At Google, Robert manages some of Google’s most prominent CE initiatives - he helped create and manage Google’s inaugural Circular Economy Accelerator, integrated hyper-local recycling information into Google Maps & Search, and launched an open set of open-source Machine Learning algorithms known as CircularNet to help democratize AI access for the waste management ecosystem.  In addition to his sustainability role, Robert also works as a StratOps/Comms lead for Google’s sellside business to help publishers fund the world’s information.

Robert holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale, with specializations in both Industrial Ecology & Green Chemistry, and Business & The Environment. He served as a two-time EDF Climate Corps fellow for both PepsiCo’s and Google’s Global Sustainability teams, where he focused largely on circular economy solutions for packaging waste, recycling efficiency, and composting strategy.

Robert is a Fulbright Scholar, previously served as the Chief of Staff for Sherwood Design Engineers, holds a BA in Environmental Policy & Sociology from Pitzer College, and is an avid biker & bike mechanic.
