Rebecca  Rabison

Rebecca Rabison is currently a Senior User Experience Designer at Opower. Here, she designs end-to-end digital experiences for people to visualize and understand their home energy use. Her work includes product strategy, defining requirements, design research,storyboards, journey maps, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, usability tests, high-fidelity mocks, specs, and many iterations.

Rebecca is a joint MBA/MEM graduate at the Yale School of Management and School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (‘14). She is interested in improving economic and environmental conditions through entrepreneurship, technology, and design. Rebecca spent the summers of 2012 and 2013 at Google helping to grow small businesses around the world through improved online advertising. She built a global training strategy for Google’s advertising partners and used data analytics to help partners improve their customer acquisition and retention.

At Yale, Rebecca co-led SOM’s Design & Innovation club and worked on several small business consulting and product development projects in the economic development and health and wellness space. Rebecca has a background in energy, project management, workforce development, and political organizing.

Prior to Yale, she worked in the South Bronx at the Association for Energy Affordability, an organization that provides energy efficiency services to low-income communities. There she started and managed a green jobs program that offers training and employment assistance in the energy efficiency field to people with barriers to the workforce. She also helped to design and manage a national program to deliver energy efficiency training across the country using an interactive, distance-learning network and technology.

Rebecca graduated with High Honors from Wesleyan University in 2008 where she studied social psychology and environmental studies.
