Masters of Environmental Management 2024
Raysieo Duakin

Currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) at the Yale School of the Environment (YSE), Raysieo specializes in Energy as well as Business and the Environment. At YSE, he advocates for energy equity in low-income and disadvantaged communities. This interest stems from his upbringing in Sabah (North Borneo), Malaysia, where many indigenous communities residing in rural areas still face challenges in acquiring affordable, clean, and reliable energy sources.

Before YSE, Raysieo worked as Tax Compliance Executive / Hydrocarbon Allocation Executive at PETRONAS / PETRONAS Carigali in Malaysia. His functional and technical roles helped him appreciate complexities surrounding energy development in the Global South. Raysieo hopes to leverage his professional experiences to advance Malaysia's clean, equitable, and sustainable energy transition.

As a Fulbright and Khazanah Global Scholar, Raysieo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of California, Berkeley.
