Peter McChesney

Peter McChesney is now retired from his role as Principal at Antwerp Advisors, where he provided strategy and business development advisory services to established companies and startups in renewable energy, materials recovery, and water services. Previously he served as business development lead for MadiDrop PBC, a startup public benefit corporation that manufactures a proprietary, silver-impregnated ceramic tablet that disinfects drinking water.

Prior to this role, McChesney was director of development at Veolia North America where he was  responsible for development and delivery of customized water and energy solutions for municipal clients, using a variety of contract structures.

Peter McChesney began his career with Scott Paper in fiber strategy. He was then recruited to the independent power industry in business development, working with PSEG and then Trigen (Suez). This was followed by a recruitment to American Water, with a final job in environmental services with Veolia. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in strategic market analysis, mergers and acquisitions, project development, consulting and advisory services applied in the water services, energy, and forest products industries. McChesney holds masters’ degrees in business administration and forest resources from Yale University and a BA with honors in history and environmental studies from Williams College.
