Peter Ludwig

Peter currently leads market engagement for the Connecticut Green Bank’s building solutions programs. In this role, he helps building owners, contractors, and other partners access Green Bank financing for green building upgrades. Prior to the Green Bank, Peter developed and led award-winning energy multifamily affordable housing retrofit programs at Elevate.

Peter earned a B.A in Earth and Environmental Studies from Wesleyan University and his Master of Environmental Science from the Yale School of the Environment. He has earned certificates in Clean Energy and Equity Development (May 2024) and Financing and Deploying Clean Energy certificate (May 2022) from the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. Peter was selected as 2014 Young Professional of the Year by the Association of Energy Engineers. Peter is excited to help the Connecticut Green Bank confront climate change and ensure a just clean energy transition.

(Personal addition) I live in New Haven with my wife and 6 year old son. I love birdwatching, hiking, exploring natural spaces and cultural institutions, geologic time, playing and teaching Javanese gamelan, listening to hiphop from the Golden Age (80s, early 90s) and thinking carefully about the relationship between power and access to environmental resources in green capitalism.
