Patrick McDonnell

Patrick McDonnell is currently the Director of Conservation and Load Management for UIL, His duties includes management of UI’s Conservation and Load Management programs for The United Illuminating Company, The Southern Connecticut Gas Company, and Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation.  He also represents UI on the Connecticut Energy Conservation Management Board.

Pat has over 30 years of energy utility experience in Connecticut.  His positions have included various engineering and management roles at UI and SCG.  Pat has had an integral part in designing and implementing UI’s energy efficiency programs since the restructuring of Connecticut’s electric industry.

In his free time, Pat, is on the boards of the CT Green Building Council, the Connecticut Power and Energy Society, the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, and the Housatonic Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He previously served on the boards of the Discovery Museum and the Manufacturers Alliance of CT.  He was the past Chairman of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce as well as the past Chairman of the CT Green Building Council.
