Oscar Benjamin

Oscar has worked in London for one of Europe's largest home improvement retailers. He has made plastics more sustainable in the products we use to build, decorate, repair and furnish our homes. This involves training suppliers to remove hazardous chemicals from those plastics and working with designers to use more recycled plastic. At Yale Oscar combined his learnings from SOM and FES to develop a class with Dr Todd Cort. The half semester class taught students to find solutions to 7 wicked challenges for business and the environment. Oscar interned during one summer at Hasbro with their marketing team and the previous summer at Herman Miller with their sustainability team. Prior to coming to Yale, Oscar worked at the Anthesis Consulting Group in London, England in their product sustainability team. Oscar graduated from the University of Oxford with B.A. in Geography specializing in climate change attribution and the sociology of international climate negotiations.
