Mike Toffel

Mike Toffel is a Professor at the Harvard Business School, in its Technology and Operations Management unit. His research examines companies' management of environmental affairs and occupational safety, and evaluates the effectiveness of government regulations and private regulations such as supplier codes of conduct, ISO standards, and LEED. Mike's work consists of econometric analyses and writes case studies. Before becoming an academic, Mike worked as the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety at Jebsen & Jessen (South East Asia), and has also worked in operations management, financial services, and EHS consulting.
