Michelle is a joint MBA/MEM candidate focused on food systems, corporate sustainability, and environmental behavior change. Prior to Yale, Michelle worked as a consumer insights consultant advising companies on business solutions that better align with the implicit and explicit needs of their consumers. Michelle hopes to apply her customer centric mindset towards creating a healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable food system.
While at Yale, Michelle spent a year working with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and their member companies on a roadmap for increasing consumer demand of healthier, more sustainable foods. Michelle continued this food system work into her second summer, working as a Sustainability Fellow with Just Salad to calculate their company-wide carbon footprint, create an emissions reduction strategy, and evaluate the sales impact of their menu carbon labeling program.
On campus Michelle is a student leader of the MBA/MEM joint degree program, a tutor and TA for the core MBA Competitor course, and a leader of the School of Management Business and Environment Club. Michelle has participated in multiple student consulting engagements during her time at Yale, including designing an impact measurement strategy for Elm Shakespeare Company and consulting on water management best practices for the Connecticut Brewers Guild.
In her free time Michelle is an avid equestrian, skier, and baker. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Economics from Tufts University.
