Michèle Zollinger
Michèle Zollinger is the Global Sustainable Sourcing Pulp & Paper Lead and Climate Forest Lead at Nesté. She supports Nestlé's ambition to reach Net Zero by 2050 working on the implementation of Nestlé's Global Reforestation Program and Forest Positive Strategy. By engaging directly with in-country partners and implementers, she enables the ag & food sector to achieve restorative and regenerative practices in their supply chains by adopting Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Michèle started her climate journey developing a strong understanding for metrics while a Sustainability Consultant then Global Natural Climate Solutions Lead at Quantis S.A, a BCG company. She realized the importance of being able to understand and communicate the numbers behind sustainability decisions and how to assess these to drive impact. Her expertise includes carbon accounting, program management, implementation of ESG initiatives within complex organizational structures, circular economy.
Before coming to Yale, she was working at ABB, a global leader in power and automation technologies, on an electric bus solution called TOSA that recharges within 15s on the route. Prior to this she was Managing Director of the Swiss Environment Initiative, non-profit working with Swiss abroad on environmental projects globally focusing on resources management and innovation.
Michèle graduated with an MEM from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2016. At Yale, she focused on corporate sustainability, metrics and environmental entrepreneurship. She also holds a B.A. in International Relations.
