Melissa Mazzeo
Melissa is the CEO of Merry Go Rounds, a children's resale business based in Easton, Massachusetts that makes shopping for kids more sustainable, affordable, and fun. Its goal is to reduce the environmental impact of shopping for kids' goods, normalize secondhand shopping, and inspire kids to be more eco-conscious. It is a certified B Corp and a Massachusetts Benefit Corporation.
Melissa earned a joint MBA and Master of Environmental Management from Yale School of Management and Yale School of the Environment in 2020. Her main interests are sustainable consumption, the circular economy, the resale industry, degrowth, and environmental entrepreneurship.
Before Yale, she spent eight years working with international development organizations in the United States and Africa, including Partners In Health in Boston, Clinton Health Access Initiative in Sierra Leone, African Leadership Network in South Africa, and Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation in Uganda. She studied communication and international studies at Boston College. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and secondhand shopping.
