Melissa is a third-year joint MBA/MEM candidate at Yale School of Management and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Her main interests are sustainable consumption, the circular economy, and the resale industry. She and her mother, Beth, are co-owners of a children’s resale business called Merry Go Rounds, where she worked full-time in the summer of 2019 through the Tsai CITY Summer Fellowship. She will lead the business full-time after graduating. In the summer of 2018, she interned with Entrepreneurship for All, a startup accelerator promoting inclusive entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities.
Prior to Yale, Melissa worked with international development organizations in the United States and Africa, including Partners In Health in Boston, Clinton Health Access Initiative in Sierra Leone, African Leadership Network in South Africa, and Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation in Uganda. She studied communication and international studies at Boston College. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and secondhand shopping.
