Melissa is a second-year joint MBA/MEM candidate at the Yale School of Management and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Her main interests are sustainable consumption and the circular economy, and she is working on a secondhand children’s clothing company. In the summer of 2018, she interned with Entrepreneurship for All, a startup accelerator promoting inclusive entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities.
Prior to Yale, she worked with international development and global health organizations in the United States and Africa, including Partners In Health in Boston, Clinton Health Access Initiative in Sierra Leone, African Leadership Network in South Africa, and Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation in Uganda. She studied communication and international studies at Boston College. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and secondhand shopping.
