Melissa Ference

Melissa Ference is an associate director of digital education within the Yale Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning. Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in Film, Television & Media Arts as well as a master’s degree in Communication from Fairfield University, Melissa joined the digital education team in August 2014 primarily to help instructors conceive, create, and disseminate materials for online courses across various platforms.

Melissa has worked on a variety of digital education initiatives including Yale School of Medicine’s PA Online program, Yale School of Public Health’s online certificate program in Climate Change and Health, online orientation programming for the Yale Divinity School, the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence’s Foundations of Emotional Intelligence courses, and a number of Yale’s Coursera MOOCs.
