Melissa DeValles

Melissa DeValles is Director of Commercialization at Malta Inc. Her specialty lies in developing and acquiring energy assets on behalf of private equity investors across a range of North American markets. She has experience in asset types including thermal generation, hydropower, combined heat and power, waste heat as well as demand-side management solutions.

Previously in her career, she worked for Eversource Energy, and DNV GL, a global consulting firm. She also worked in project and business development roles at FFP New Hydro, then Rye Development developing a 200+ MW portfolio, and Recycled Energy Department, where she was one of the founders of Greenleaf Power.

Melissa’s background was founded in operational engineering in the maritime sector, receiving a BS in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. She began her career in the energy space as a field engineer with GE Nuclear.
