Max Wasser

Max Wasser (he/him) holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale University (‘23) and a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder (‘18).

Max is from Wyoming and worked as a wildlife biologist before attending Yale. Some of his prior experience includes working as a bear management ranger in Denali National Park and an arctic climate researcher in the Alaskan Brooks Range. 

His passion for climate, biodiversity and the planet has been wrapped into academic and professional interests in carbon removal, decarbonization, and renewable energy finance. While at Yale, Max cofounded the Carbon Student Interest Group, worked at a carbon removal/hydrogen startup, consulted for an affordable housing startup, wrote for the Conservation Finance Network, and co-authored Green Resilience Hubs: An Energy and Financial Model.

Currently located in Seattle, WA, Max enjoys backcountry skiing, surfing, anything on two wheels, and playing with his dog, Laramie.
