Matias Montaldo Barral

Matias Montaldo is a research assistant at the Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance (YISF). He recently joined the team after completing his Master of Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment, where he specialized in Environmental Policy Analysis. Matias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Catholic University of Argentina.

With nearly a decade of experience working in local government roles in Argentina, Matias has a strong background in environmental law, policy, and project management. His professional interests focus on international environmental policy, climate change, and land use.
