Margaret Oliver

Margaret Oliver is a Masters of Environmental Management Candidate specializing in water resource science and environmental policy analysis. In her work and studies, she is interested in finding policy and finance strategies that incentivize the development of natural infrastructure for watershed management.

At the Center for Business and the Environment, she is a webinar host for the Conservation Finance Network's "Nature's Returns" webinar series. She also works for Yale's Environmental Leadership and Training Initiative (ELTI) on developing their online certificate program, which caters to forest management practitioners in the tropics.

Before Yale, Margaret served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay, where she worked on community agroforestry projects and environmental education initiatives. She has also interned for the World Wildlife Fund and the Nature Conservancy.

Margaret graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies. As an undergraduate, Margaret studied abroad in Vietnam, Morocco, Bolivia, and Iceland was involved in field research projects in Peru and Haiti.
