Marc Hiller

Marc is the Director of Investments for the Lyme Timber Company. Marc was previously the Director of Acquisitions for GreenWood Resources, Inc. Marc led GreenWood's timberland acquisition activities, including: sourcing and developing investment opportunities, leading financial analysis, organizing diligence activities, and structuring and negotiating transactions.

For over 15 years, he has worked as a forester with private equity firms, wood-product manufacturers and retailers, and small- and large-scale forest managers. Prior to joining the Lyme Timber Company, he worked on forestland acquisitions and management with International Forestry Investment Advisors and New Forests. Earlier in his career, he worked on forest management and certification issues with The Forest Trust, SmartWood, and a community-based forest management project. Mr. Hiller has worked and lived in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Australia, and the U.S.

Marc also served as a Director for Ecologic Development Fund (an organization that supports local communities to restore and protect tropical ecosystems) and for The Climate Trust. He has also served on corporate boards and advised international banks, NGOs, and trade associations on forest management, investment, conservation, and legality verification.
