Maggie Boreham

Maggie Boreham is a co-founder and Head of Strategy at Banofi, a pioneering company dedicated to creating sustainable, plant-based leather from upcycled banana crop waste. A 2024 MBA graduate of the Yale School of Management, her journey into sustainable entrepreneurship is deeply rooted in her extensive background as an accessory and creative designer. Her experience in the fashion industry motivated a desire to address systemic environmental issues by providing cruelty-free and eco-friendly alternatives to traditional materials.

Maggie's leadership was instrumental to Banofi's success in the 2023 Hult Prize, where her team was awarded the $1 million prize in one of the world's most significant social entrepreneurship competitions. A Forte Fellow at Yale SOM, she focused on understanding how business leaders can drive positive environmental and social change. In her role at Banofi, she leverages her design sensibilities and business acumen to spearhead strategy and brand partnerships, further advancing the company's mission to disrupt the fashion industry for a more sustainable future.
