Profile

Lucy Kessler is pursuing a Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) at Yale University’s School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, where she is specializing in corporate social responsibility and clean energy. She is currently working on energy projects pertaining to electricity markets and solar energy policies and has worked with numerous corporate clients including The Gap, Patagonia, and Cascade Designs. 

Prior to Yale, Lucy worked at a clean-energy nonprofit based in Aspen, Colorado that incentivized energy efficiency and clean energy and advanced sustainability policies at the local and state level. Lucy helped develop several community-engagement programs including a low-income efficiency program, a city-wide energy savings competition as part of the Georgetown University Energy Prize, water-conservation initiatives, and waste-reduction campaigns. She has written for the Huffington Post and works as one of the communications research assistants for the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy

Lucy majored in biology at Colorado College and was a student author of The Colorado College State of the Rockies Report.
