Luciana is currently working in Mine Environmental Management and Sustainability at the National Ministry of Production and Labour in Argentina. In this role, she executes the development and implementation of programs and methodology regarding the socio-environmental management standards and best practices within the mining activity and support sthe Department of Environmental Management in the actions to be applied by the National Government, in coordination with the provinces and other stakeholders, respect the development of national regulation on mine closure and mine waste management. She also orchestrated the technical cooperation agreement between the Ministry and the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute (CIRDI), being responsible for bringing CIRDI experts for three workshops to support provincial training on mine closure policy and best practices.
Luciana holds a Masters of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies as well as a B.S. in Ecology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
